URLExpander.org provides a free, web-based URL expansion tool that allows users to reveal the final destination of shortened URLs, expand links in bulk, encode/decode URLs, generate QR codes, strip tracking parameters, and analyse URL safety. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind.
3. Permitted Use
You may use the Service for any lawful purpose, including but not limited to:
- Verifying the safety of shortened links before clicking
- Auditing URL redirect chains for marketing or security purposes
- Generating QR codes for URLs you own or have permission to use
- Encoding and decoding URLs for development and debugging purposes
- Removing tracking parameters from URLs you share
4. Prohibited Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
- Submit URLs for the purpose of conducting attacks, reconnaissance, or probing of other systems
- Attempt to circumvent our rate limiting, access controls, or abuse the API
- Scrape, harvest, or systematically collect data from the Service
- Distribute malware, phishing content, or other malicious material using links generated or processed through our Service
- Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair our servers or networks
- Use automated scripts to make excessive requests beyond the stated rate limits

5. Rate Limits and Fair Use
To ensure fair access for all users, we impose rate limits on API requests. The current limits are 60 requests per minute for the single URL expander and up to 100 URLs per batch for the bulk expander. We reserve the right to modify these limits at any time and to suspend or terminate access for users who abuse the Service.
6. Intellectual Property
All content, design, code, and intellectual property on URLExpander.org is owned by or licensed to URLExpander.org. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our express written permission. Our tools are provided for end-use only — you may not resell, white-label, or redistribute the Service or its output as your own product.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR AVAILABILITY. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
- URL expansion results will be accurate or up to date
- Our safety checker will detect all malicious URLs
- The Service will meet your specific requirements
You acknowledge that our URL safety checker is a heuristic tool and does not guarantee detection of all threats. Always exercise your own judgement and use additional security tools for critical decisions.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, URLEXPANDER.ORG SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM:
- Your use of or inability to use the Service
- Any content obtained from or through the Service
- Unauthorised access to or alteration of your data
- Any harm caused by visiting a URL expanded through our Service
Our total liability to you for any claims arising from the use of the Service shall not exceed USD $100 or the amount you paid to use the Service in the past 12 months, whichever is greater (noting the Service is currently free).

The Service processes URLs that may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party websites. We do not endorse any third-party content. Accessing third-party URLs is entirely at your own risk.
